Stoops Freightliner is looking for 3rd Shift Diesel Technicians

3rd  Shift Technicians Receive a Shift Premium Pay Package

Stoops Freightliner is now offering a sign on bonus to experienced diesel technicians in the Indianapolis/Anderson, IN. Area. For 1-2 years’ experience, we will pay $2000. For 3-5 years’ experience we will pay you $3000. For 6+ years’ experience, we will pay you $5000.

  • Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.
  • Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades; completing winterization procedures.
  • Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.
  • Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
  • Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.

Payout schedule:

1-2 years-$2000 (taxable) $500 after 2 weeks, $500 after 90 days, & $1000 after 180 days of employment.

3-5 years $3,000 (taxable) – $750 after 2 weeks, $750 after 90 days & $1500 after 180 days of employment.

6+ years  5,000 (taxable) – $1250 after 2 weeks, $1250 after 90 days & $2500 after 180 days of employment.

Managers would determine the technicians’ experience, and would verify & sign off on that experience.
